Zakiya just wrapped filming on the independent short film “Room Enough”, directed by Zoe Salnave and written by Kamal Jones and Zoe Salnave. “Room Enough” is the story of Cody and Rachael, a young black couple in the midst of deciding whether the love they have for each other is enough to keep them together. Cody comes from a blue-collar background, while Rachael is from a white-collar background. Over the course of the film, we discover what pulls the two apart, what reinforces the divide, and in spite of it all, what keeps them together. Zakiya plays the role of Jackie, Rachael’s sister. She is described as “An attorney; a force to be reckoned with; doesn’t like a lot of people; very particular about where she spends her money; don’t mess with her, her business, or her man; her husband is the star of her eye; still in the honeymoon phase; loves her sister but is less than supportive.” More details about a release date will be posted here, so stay tuned!
