Abschließend wird gezeigt, dass die freiwillige Segregation der wohlhabenden Klasse zum Hauptgrund ein gesteigertes Sicherheitsbedürfnis hat. Allerdings wird auch gezeigt, dass es ebenso eine unfreiwillige Segregation auf Seiten der armen Bevölkerung gibt, für die der Staat verantwortlich ist.
